Oven roasted muesli with birch syrup

250 g wholemeal oat flakes

25 g butter (can be replaced with coconut oil)

50 ml light birch syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

50 g banana flakes

50 g chopped almonds or nuts

50 g raisins

50 g dried apples, cranberries or any other dried berries, fruits, seeds to your taste

100 g chocolate (optional)

Chop the butter up a bit and mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Place the mixture on an oven pan covered with cooking paper. Roast in a pre-heated oven at 150-170 C° for about 20 minutes. Stir the mixture occasionally and be careful not to let it burn. If using chocolate, melt it, and drizzle over the muesli when you have taken it out of the oven. Let the muesli cool and serve with yogurt, milk or cream. You can top it with fresh berries for extra beauty and taste.
